UK expert shares picture of increasingly common Covid symptoms. 77% of people who had a positive test had no symptoms on the day of their test

One of the UK's leading experts in coronavirus has shared a picture of a symptom of Covid he says is increasingly common.

Professor Tim Spector, epidemiologist at King's College London and lead scientist on the Zoe Covid Symptom Study UK Infection Survey, said one in five patients are now presenting with uncommon symptoms.

Taking to Twitter, he said: "One in five people with Covid still present with less common symptoms that don't get on the official PHE list - such as skin rashes.

"Seeing increasing numbers of Covid tongues and strange mouth ulcers.

"If you have a strange symptom or even just headache and fatigue stay at home!"
