Dave Crocker's Finest Moment in the DNS Wars

Dave ran a mailing list for the then new IAHC process but he didn't run his own DNS nameservers and used his ISP's DNS servers.

Dave was vehemently opposed to alternative TLDs and alternative DNS but didn't realize he'd been using them without knowing it. Or that had never had a problem by using them. In fact his computer worked better than it did before, being not only faster but with a richer address space, all quite transparently.

Here's a confirmation to a mailing list Dave ran that sent mail out to me at an alternative tld address that Dave probably would have thought shouldn't have worked.
