Hundreds of Thousands Sign Petitions Urging the U.S. Government to Declare KKK a Terrorist Group

Hundreds of thousands of people are demanding that the Ku Klux Klan be listed as a terrorist organization, with several online petitions rapidly gaining support.

A number of change.org petitions have gone viral this week demanding the white supremacist hate group be classified as terrorists, prompting them to be included among the top trends on Twitter.

One such petition calling for the KKK to be declared a terrorist organization reached 100,000 signatures before it closed.

Two more petitions have also attracted at least 79,000 and 86,000 signatures, with a fourth demanding the KKK be illegal reaching 125,000 signatures.

Two Alberta RCMP officers killed Clayton Crawford at a truck stop in 2018. Now, amid protests across the world over police brutality, the pair have been charged.

Amid protests around the world against police brutality, two Alberta RCMP officers have been arrested and charged in the 2018 killing of a man who they were attempting to interview as a witness to a crime.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) announced on Monday, they were charging Cpl. Randy Stenger and Const. Jessica Brown with the death of 31-year-old Clayton Crawford. Stenger and Brown, RCMP officers in the small central-Alberta town of Whitecourt, shot Crawford dead at a highway rest stop on July 3, 2018.
