 That year, I worked on PDP-8 machines for a while at DEMAG under Richard Kirby, then switched to Teklogix for PDP-11 machine. There we did the camera gantry for the Quasar TV commercion, modeled after Star Wars. The final approach where Luke drops the mine into the ventilation shaft could have been filmed on ours. I really loved the instruction set on the PDP-11, no finer one has been made to date. |
