Liming wax traditionally has white pigment in it to highlight the grain. You could also use black which will give it an "antique" look. You can use any color to produce interesting effects.
- 3 1/3 (100g) ounces beeswax paste wax (store bought or the previous recipe)
- 1 1/2 (30g) natural pigment
Mix the pigment and the wax with some sort of a bladed instrument. Apply as with a soft lint free cloth and work well into the grain. Remove excess wax and and buff to a sheen. Shoe polish works too.
