Wrexham is now the local authority with the highest infection rate in Wales with a seven-day rate of 904.7 cases per 100,000, up from 871.6 on Thursday.
Bridgend has now dropped to second with a seven-day rate of 894.3 cases per 100,000 population, a decrease from 954.8 on the day before.
Flintshire is now third with 673.3 per 100,000 population, up from 669.4.
Cardiff had the highest number of new cases on Thursday with 238, followed by Flintshire with 216, Rhondda Cynon Taf with 199, Bridgend with 180, Wrexham with 171, Caerphilly with 155, Newport with 153, Swansea with 145 and Carmarthenshire with 109.
Torfaen had 95 new cases, Neath Port Talbot had 87, Vale of Glamorgan had 86, Pembrokeshire had 84, Merthyr Tydfil had 64, Denbighshire had 51 and Blaenau Gwent had 50.
Meanwhile Powys had 43, Gwynedd had 40, Monmouthshire had 33, Conwy had 32 and Anglesey and Ceredigion both had 20.
