"I have one of the very first bikes they made. Yes it was a fair bit of $, but bought it for the style. The aluminum battery box is heavy and I have upgraded mine with 26 ah 52 volt battery and the suspension fork. Yes the Crystalyte motor is old tech and the fork is more for looks does not do much. Bike is fairly heavy and does not have a lot of torque. Would I recommend one? Not really , but if you are a smaller lighter person and you want a cruiser to go for a coffee it is ok. With a Qs V1 and 30ah battery it would be fun though.

It has an ASI sign wave controller and I think the true output of the bike is more like 2300 watts peak. It goes along at about 40 mph with the controller upgrade and the motor is a speed winding so it is what it is when it comes to torque." - Lee Chavarie
