In 2012 some bright spark guessed that global warming would cause bamboo would go into decline and the pandas would be endangered even more. It was just a guess, no evidence was offered. Ever try to kill bamboo? Never mind the global average temperature hasn't increased since 1998.

China did a census and published in February of 2015 the fact that the Panda population has increased by 17%.
