"Arctic sea ice extent (SIE) has likely reached its annual minimum and is beginning to expand.
It bottomed out at 4.602 million kmē on Sep. 10th.
This now marks the 13th year in a row that a new record low has not been set. This year's SIE minimum is higher than it was in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024."
