"What’s worse, the ten warmest years ever recorded have all occurred since 1998" - NASA

And none before 1998. 1998 still the hottest year.

"Last week NASA and NOAA announced that 2014 topped the list of hottest years ever recorded. Yikes!" - NASA

You can look on the chart to see how "warm" 2014 was. It was not. Does this compare favorably with what the media said?

How can this be? Why so many records?

February 23, 2015 - "The past year was the warmest year on record, though their analysis has 2014 in a virtual tie with 2005 and 2010. "

When several years all tie for the warmest year it means temperature isn't increasing. Or to put it another way, no year even reached 1998's temprature, let alone exceeded it. Get out your best crayons, kids, draw that graph!

That's how.

Earth Temperature in 1998 Is Reported at Record High

"Despite the 1998 record, a number of scientists said they believed the world was likely to be cooler in 1999 and possibly 2000 as well."

Good guess:

This is a screenshot of the NOAA graphing calculator showing 1998 to 2018.
