Slashdot and Microsoft's uneasy fondness.

Slashdot sometimes gets a bad rap as a "Linux site" - to quote one confused reporter. But, despite that I noticed that when I mentioned to one of the Slashdot poeple that a new feature recently introduced made the site unreadable in Opera, the response was pretty much "Works in firefox. Our poeple mostly use IE. If you fix it we'll take your patch".

Uh huh.

Windows 7 phone came out today. I know because a MS employee I follow on Twitter posted three things about it. And here's this mornings Slashdot, with the same three stories:
